Alienation from nature

What happens when people alienate from nature? Like when less people live to explore and feel the natural surroundings. Many children grow up only to see the street they live in. the closest they get to nature is the dandylions that break through the asfalt.

I think all those things are symptoms of not knowing nature itself. Not getting the daily dose of trees in a tiny wind, chubby bumblebees in a blooming field, the wilderness and freedom on top of a mountain or the mystery introversion in a deep forest.

Do these children find a substitute in a pet? Or becoming a vegan? Or to sign petitions to protect the whales in Faroe Islands? Does that fullfill the need for nature itself? I think not. I think all those things are symptoms of not knowing nature itself. Not getting the daily dose of trees in a tiny wind, chubby bumblebees in a blooming field, the wilderness and freedom on top of a mountain or the mystery introversion in a deep forest.

Ho can we find our way back to nature for everyone? Away from screens, traffic and blocks of houses. If we all spend a little less of mother earths rescourses, and save her for the future, then maybe there will be enough space in nature for us all.
